University life
Serving as a first year university student, i was quite exciting at the beginning. I had an observation throughout an year and i found that although i can manage to do well in school, it is somewhat difficult for some of the students to survive in university. I've learned that some people are getting into academic probation and getting kicked out by school.
People who gets kicked out is because they slack off too much and not willing to participate. Most of them has similar characteristics such as "oh.. i got into university now and i don't have to work as hard as before", "Party Party and party!!! drinks! getting drunk!."
Fresh year students parties way too much and wastes a lot of time instead of studying. Although some of the students still manage to achieve academic excellence, that has to do with individual intelligence. Students who needs more time to study should really spend time on studying while others are having fun. For those who are intellectually strong or had worked hard before (having a strong basis of knowledge and practice of the academic material) could have the following approach: maximizing time usuage, and prioritizing task at hand. These are the two factors which bring success to people.
Everyone in the world are fairly distributed with 24 hours a day. So, why is Warran bufflet the world's richest guy at the age of 70 something or 80 something (i'm not sure), while some other 70's guys are still middle class, or even in proverty? This has to do with prioritizing task at hand and time management.
I am kind of off topic right now.. but i will continue in another post about the idea of success. |
